For days now I've been looking for the most up-to-date Go Pro model possible, but which shouldn't exceed the 350 euro mark.
I've already come across the Go Pro Hero 8, which initially sounded very good, but (strangely) has no HDMI connection.
I need this output because I want to transfer videos etc. To my laptop because at some point the Go Pro's memory card is full.
So now my specific question:
Can anyone of you recommend a Go Pro model that is as up-to-date as possible, which does not cost much more than 350 euro or less and above all has an HDMI output? I'm grateful for every suggestion!
The HDMI connection is a video output, a live video is output here, e.g. To a monitor.
There are two ways to get files from the GoPro to a laptop:
Via the USB-C connection: You connect a USB-C cable (C plug to A plug) and you can import the files to the PC using Explorer.
You take the microSD card out of the GoPro and insert it into a suitable card reader, now you can simply import the files via Explorer.
If you still need an HDMI connection, you can buy a media mod (attention, different versions for the 8 and 9 series).
Thank you! It's just a shame that the Go Pros can record in 4k 60fps etc. And don't even have a clever simple transmission connection… Well what the heck
With pleasure! I don't have a GoPro, just conventional digital cameras and I always use the USB interface to transfer pictures and videos or I take out the memory card.
How do you do it with the HDMI output, if I may ask?
It actually only outputs the "live video", doesn't it?
Not only can you transfer files with it, otherwise the Go Pro would be kind of pointless if you had to look at the recordings on the mini screen… I was just looking for a way to do this, but what I found thanks to you helped me a lot!
