We got a new router from Unitymedia. The Vodafone station. And the funny thing is that all devices (PC, laptop, IPhone, IPad) just work without problems, only the TV's. We have 2 of them and either or both of them just don't. At Netflix the film lasts forever and then it is played in the absolute worst quality. But when I run Netflix on my PS4, which is just 10cm away from the TV, it works perfectly and quickly. As I said the other devices work, only the TV's and the reciver are affected.
has anyone ever had such a problem? Since there are public holidays, I can hardly call customer service.
maybe it has something to do with the fact that the new router sends 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz at the same time? Unfortunately, you can't limit it to one, I've already seen it.
because the old router could only do one of the two and was always at 2.4GHz and it worked perfectly with it.
The devices we use are also relatively new, so I would rule that out
Set different SSIDs, then you can specifically connect the TV's with one of the two SSIDs.
It should be adjustable on the configuration page of the router in the "WLAN" tab with a slider:

In case someone has the same problem with the Vodafone station as I do:
yes there's a possibility to split 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz which is hidden. You have to turn the WLAN off and then on again (i.e. The slider.). Then you get more options including splitting the frequencies. Then don't forget to turn on the SSID at 5Ghz so that you can find it too.
Could the problem with Smart TVs be solved by setting different SSIDs?
If not, turn off Bluetooth on the Smart TV. Then 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection will work better.
Yes, the problem with the Smart TV could be solved with it. My parents still have a receiver for foreign TV because we still had problems. Dr can't receive 5Ghz either. Have now laid a LAN cable so it worked.
