Do I need a new wireless router? Switch from 100Mbit / s to 1000Mbit / s?
I have just changed from an old contract from Kabel Deutschland to a new 1000Mbit / s line for 10 euro extra at Vodafone. I get a new router sent I think I need, however, a new wireless router? On my current stand (300Mbit / s) it is a TP-WR841ND.
I have currently connected the router via WAN port with the wireless router and then connected via the Ethernet ports to the PC so I have Wi-Fi for notebook / mobile phone and the same Internet on the PC.
My question is now, do I need a new W-Lan router thus also on the PC the 1000Mbit / s arrive? Since the router is indeed coupled via the W-Lan router. The W-Lan speed is me first time no matter there may be 100Mbit / s.
Or is the 300Mbit / s on the router only for the maximum W-Lan speed?

300mbit by W-Lan is enough for me completely out of me, it's just that I get the 1000mbit and the upload fully transferred to the PC.

Then you need a new or schaltest a switch before with 1Gbit ports, then you can continue to use the wireless router and still have 1Gbit LAN.

I have now been upgraded from an old contract which was 100Mbit download 6Mbit upload. Upgrade to 1000Mbit Download 50Mbit Upload including new free router and my old should I send back. The whole thing I had done by phone, everything else I get the days sent. 1000Mbit is also available in my address (Berlin)
