What are actually GT. Ok I googled. Gigatransfers. But what are gigatransfers?
How are the orders actually stored in this computer PCIe pipeline? Today I watched a video about the NVMe protocol on YouTube and there allegedly these NVMe hard drives have a job storage capacity of 64K? Times 64 K? And then it depends on the speed of the m.2 ssd right?
my crucial P1 on an old laptop via a self-made miniPCIe interface I galueb PCIe 3.0 supposedly has a data transfer of 8 GT / s.
Do you think that this M.2 ssd is faster than an intel ssd. I also think NVM.e with 32 GB Optane memory… What is behind this 32 GB Optane memory? And does the Crucial P1 have that too?
A PCIe Lane 3.0 can 8GT / s that is more or less the baud rate / symbol rate of how fast data is being transmitted.
Ne NVMe has 4 lanes
With Intel Optane you mess things up because you only use the SSD as a cache because frequently used programs are cached so that they load faster.
So this is practically no other type of memory, but an area reserved by the driver, which technically works in the same way as the rest of the hard disk. With the Crucial 10% is reserved for the durability of the NVMe Nand SSD… The 1TB Crucial is twice as fast as the 500 MB. Why is that actually. Do you think the 1TB Crucial is faster than the 500MB intel Optane SSD?
But it could also be that the intelligent memory can't only be created like a cache on every m.2 NVMe SSD, but because it says there that the CPU itself has to be optane-capable, there's also a kind of working memory for the entire computer and the CPU is set up, which the computer or the intelchip can use as a second main memory and which does not primarily make the storage medium faster, but can be counted as a secret main memory for the computer… Here it would be good to know what that is for a store is accurate. Maybe it's a fluctuating memory, like the working memory, which is deleted when the computer is switched off… But it is faster. The problem could be that chip manufacturers could cheat with what could be behind this OptaneChip… Can you 100% know that because then NandSpeicher is inside? As I said, I installed a Crucial P1 Nand m.2 NVMe on my old laptop via these miniPCIe interfaces. It's really amazing what this memory has done to my computer… All the software works again… The onboard ati radean mobility HD 3450 has 4 GB of graphics memory. It's a shame that the openGL has been turned off as a driver.
Many also advise against this construct, because they say that such a Nand SSD with 2 NVMe would work so quickly and would become unusable… If the Optane were to prevent something like that, it would definitely not be a Nand memory. If it were a normal SSD storage, it would be too slow. So the only solution that would come to my mind would be if it was a kind of working memory DDR3 DDR 4 or DDR 5 or DDR2, which can only store fluctuations, but lasts longer.
