Has my laptop been hacked or is it just broken πŸ˜‚?

Re

To watch Netflix, I always connect my laptop to my TV.

Now I'm watching Netflix, I'm lying in bed and I can't even get the laptop and suddenly it leaves the series / film and I'm on the Netflix homepage (the mouse cursor doesn't move) once I was thrown out completely and was suddenly emptied Tap / new tap.

When I minimized the browser, I was no longer able to click it in my task bar, and generally it did not respond to a click, but I was able to move the cursor. Then I pressed the power button and started it again, which takes longer than usual. I'm afraid of being hacked because I always get the message that my four-way protection from McAffe has expired (although to my knowledge I never had one)

What should I do now?

Va

You weren't hacked, but you probably have all sorts of malware on your hard drive (keylogger, malware, backdoors, worms, adware and and and…)

Re

And this causes me to fly out of Netflix? 🀨

mi

Go to a repair shop. You can't know exactly.

Re

Where should a number be displayed? 🀨

Va

Yes

Re

And how do I get that out? πŸ€” And especially since I did it for the first time today but haven't actually looked at it except for Netflix.

Va

It's called ransomware but you're still spared from it. Apparently they can tap everything they need

Re

And what else can I do besides reset my laptop? Besides, why should that only come now? I haven't done anything with the laptop for months except Netflix and Sims

Va

Cleaning up your PC but this is relatively time consuming. The simply variant is to reinstall Windows and pay attention next time.

al

Trust me sooner or later there will be a message saying in an Errape robot voice: "Your PC HAS A VIRUS Please CALL MICROSOFT SUPPORT (comma number that is not from Microsoft).

if you get the message change the tab and try to close it.

al

Because maybe the virus tapped things before. And only now it becomes noticeable.

al

When someone logs into your account and tries to close your browser. A clear yes

Re

Is it enough to reset the PC to factory settings?

al

Yes but then also so that nothing can be restored.

Re

So reset to factory settings or what do you mean?

Re

And how do I do that?

al

Look for a tutorial on YouTube or something.

But it's not difficult.

And sure about ideots too

Va

No, format the hard drive and reinstall Windows

Re

So I just noticed that I have the free virus scanner from Avast, it showed me neither browser threats nor fours and malware. Only two outdated versions of 7-Zip and the Firefox browser reported. Now he's scanning for performance issues. Should I still reset it to factory settings now?

Re

And how does it work?

So I just noticed that I have the free virus scanner from Avast, it showed me neither browser threats nor fours and malware. Only two outdated versions of 7-Zip and the Firefox browser reported. Now he's scanning for performance issues. Should I still reset it to factory settings now?

al

Umm Are you sure that the real thing is I mean? Not that Avast is not real I mean the program on your PC.

Virus developers also like to make fake antivirus programs that supposedly scan something.

Re

Yes, I think so, because I should pay 20 euro for cleaning files, i.e. For Avast cleanup Premium. In addition, it is usually the case that fake programs always display any fours so that you can immediately buy something or call there, which was not the case here.

According to Chip, Avast free antivirus is also the best free one, and I think I installed it there. Should I otherwise uninstall this here and download it again from Chip? Chip is actually safe Or?

al

Chip is reputable but always delivers adware in their installers so that they still survive.

al

It is best to always leave Windows Defender (on Windows 10), it is simply the best.

it doesn't slow the system down.

And is integrated in Windows and was paid for with the Windows 10 license (if you have Windows 10)

Re

No I don't have Windows 10

al

Uf. Do you think your pc has the power to update to Windows 10.

Because Windows 10 is much safer than any previous Windows.

Yes, this privacy is annoying too, but that's the safest thing.

You can still watch Sims and Neflix.

Va

I would format the hard drive and reinstall Windows. Resetting to factory settings doesn't help much

Re

I don't know how it works, can I trust Avast free Antivirus?

Re

I very much doubt it, but I will soon get a new one with Windows 10 as soon as I have enough money.

You seem to know something about that? Do you think I can trust this free Avast program as far as fours and things are concerned? I restarted my laptop and now I have no problems.

al

Use something else first and try to uninstall this Avast.

I could recommend Kaspersky or Norton.

for devices that do not have Windows 10.

Re

I thought Avast is good?

Thanks anyway, also for the two suggestions. I saw in a YouTube video that two different virus programs should always run at the same time, one manual and one live-time program, can you say or recommend something (free?)

Gu

Didn't you even think that the computer crashed?
And what does that have to do with a phone number?

al

Well difficult to say. Having two antiviruses will only eat performance.

You can do it but it's really unnecessary.

Gu

Would recommend saving your data and reinstalling the OS on your computer. Windows 10 is more secure than the other Windows, but for example Linux, co. Much more secure than Windows.

al

Yes, but you are not kicked by Netflix in the crash first.

The browser has to close immediately.

Gu

Why should someone hack into the PC to close tabs?

Gu

Set up OS again.

al

How should someone have hacked in here?

If he only played Netflix and Sims.

and it is clear that he has some virus

Va

Well not really
