I want to (must) reset my laptop (WIN 10) to factory settings due to various problems. However, I have various games, some for free, some pretty expensive, on the hard drive, how can I save them or save them to a USB stick and transfer them to the hard drive again after the restore?

Did you install these games through Steam or any other library? Then that would not be a problem.

Many games have memory files that are stored in different locations on your PC from game to game.

You can copy this to a USB stick and use it later to restore it.

However, I would test it beforehand, where the scores are important to you, because this can't work for a variety of reasons.

In addition, if you really want to be on the safe side, I would write down the exact version of the game, because that would be pretty much the most probable point where problems with the memory files could arise even after reset and test.

Some games also save scores in the cloud. Then you have no problems.

I wish you a lot of fun looking for the storage files and would advise you to limit yourself to the games in which you absolutely need the storage status.
