Is my Surface Go enough?

We need a laptop for school. The requirements are:

Slot: at least 1 USB2 or USB3

RAM: at least 4GB RAM

Internal hard drive: at least 250 GB

Operating system: Windwos 7 (or newer) or OSX 10.7 (or newer)

Battery power: at least 6 hours

My Surface Go only has 128 GB of storage, which I will expand.

Yes, even the cheapest variant, apart from the storage capacity, meets expectations. You would have to expand the memory, which is not a problem. Only I'm not sure if the tablet has a USB port, if not, you would still need a suitable adapter. But otherwise, you can take it.

Respect that you dare to swap the SSD!

But yes, then your Surface would meet the requirements. Do you have the type cover?

And I would think about a USB hub. Maybe you want to have a mouse.

You could also just attach an external hard drive… But that would probably be too easy

Then you definitely need the USB hub. He wrote that he wanted to expand the SSD. It doesn't come from me. Because as far as I know, things are glued. So it's not fun.

You're right, but there are also hard drives with a micro USB or adapter.
