I'm faced with deciding which laptop to buy. I'm unsure which configuration is the better for gambling. Either an i5 8300h with a GTX1060 6GB or an i5 9300h with a GTX 1650 4GB.

The first is worth more! It's a laptop, which will never make a big difference anyway
For "gambling" it always depends on what you want to play exactly. For example, if you want to play Battlefield 5 (or similar open-world titles) you often have the problem that the processor does not participate, especially in the mobile segment as they are more energy efficient.

The first laptop is worth more for gaming. The GTX 1060 6GB is significantly better than the GTX 1650 4GB. The i5 9300H, however, is only marginally better than the i5 8300H.
