Opening "F: \ … Xcf" failed:
XCF Error: unsupported XCF file version 11 found
This error message comes whenever I try to open this file. I would like to print the file and would like to know if this is possible?

That's where the problem lies. XCF V11 is used by GIMP 2.10. You can't open the file with 2.8.
Now there are two options. Either you install GIMP 2.10 on your computer or you save the picture on the other PC again in the compatibility mode.
I try to install Gimp 2.10 times. I have to uninstall the 2.8 version before, right?
