I need a very good and operational laptop for business:
Which brand is your recommendation?
I swear on Dell…
You can configure it online and, if necessary, contact help directly.
Had problems with my last one after 3 years with extended warranty.
After an error message to Dell, a service technician came to my house within 48 hours and… Unscrewed 58 screws, dismantled the laptop, changed ALL! Internal components instead of just the drive - and after a good hour the screws were all screwed back in - there was NONE left - and the box was running properly again… Cost factor…
1 cappuccino for the "screwdriver" + tip
So much for service and customer service.
How it is with the apple… K.A. However, these boxes may be super good, but overpriced for my feelings.
Who else has everything from Apple - then I would stay with the IOS - but who has an Android phone - I advise the Windows arithmetic.
For me in the first place would definitely be HP, they make very good hardware and last forever
In my opinion, that mainly depends on what you want to use the device for…
For my daily work, e.g. The MacBook Pro not suitable… But there were many different reasons.
Every day I have an Acer, a SurfaceBook 2 and recently a Surface Go 2 in use… Each serves its purpose…
The MacBook is only partially used for surfing…
Apple: Please only if Apple is used otherwise. The horror of every IT professional is hetrogenic environments (here macOS and Windows).
ASUS: No. Please NOT in business
Acer: Was once useful in the sector
Lenovo: As long as no "ideaPad" yes. "ideaPad" are the cheap machines that were created by buying Medion. They are just as "durable" and "reliable". Here is "ThinkPad"
DELL: If not a consumer series, yes.
11 years of experience with it (especially in repairs and troubleshooting).
I've been traveling with Dell for over 10 years, especially in the notebook area with the Latitude series, which focuses on business.
Very reliable devices, only with the D630 I had the well-known graphics problem. However, when it comes to maintenance and repairs, these are my first choice, also when it comes to reliability. In terms of performance, I also have no reason to complain. I already had a number of other brands in my hand, mostly because the owners had problems with it and I have to honestly say that the Dell, if something should be defective, because it really has the edge, easy to open, you can quickly get everything As far as software is concerned, I've never had any problems with it.
In the desktop area I use an optiplex, which is also reliable and fast, and is now well equipped for some gaming.
For me, Dell is the first choice, in terms of quality and maintenance.
Yes, I thought about taking it in too
It depends a lot on what exactly you do and what you need. I prefer Apple for work. This is mainly because of the workflow. This is (once you get used to it), much more intuitive or pleasant than under Windows. Certain programs on the Mac are also better optimized and there's exclusive software for certain areas that is very good (but depends on your applications again).
In general I can also praise the compatibility. The compatibility with Apple devices is very good and you can notice that extremely in everyday life. With Windows, Linux or Android the compatibility is like with all other manufacturers (you just have to do without the advantages that one has between Apple devices). You can also install Windows on a Mac (not the other way around). But it is not the point to get a Mac to only run it on Windows.
Of course you can get a PC with better hardware for half the price. But above all, a laptop consists of more than just a processor and graphics card. And especially in productive work, performance is often not the decisive factor, but rather other things (battery, form factor, reliability, display, …). And you won't get away from other manufacturers much cheaper, at least if you compare all factors.
Since most user programs run on Windows, Apple is not suitable for everything.
Thanks for this very specified answer!
