Import pictures from cell phone to PC?

I would like to import pictures from my Samsung phone to my PC.

Problem 1: Neither my laptop nor my PC recognize my mobile phone via USB cable (different cables and USB ports tested)

Problem 2: I can't get the SIM card out of my mobile phone because the compartment can't be opened.

Is there a good other method to import the pictures and videos (several GB)?

Try a cloud, for example, OneDrive or Google drive.
