Moin, I have a relatively new laptop (2 weeks) and whenever I turn it on, everything loads for a long time. I leave the laptop for about 15 minutes so that it gets warm. But the data carrier is still at 100% in the task manager. My brother said to me that after turning it on I should turn on google chrome and wait until my data carrier is no longer red (critical) is that correct? And do you have any other tips or suggestions?
would be mega
I would first see which task eats up so much memory and deactivate all the autostart programs.
Maybe it's a virus
15 minutes on a new laptop is clearly too long.
1. Is there an HDD or SSD installed? In general, more technical details of the device would be an advantage for such questions 😉
2. What is everything in the autostart? Can also be found via the task manager. There you can surely take out a lot that should shorten the start time.
What all this has to do with starting Google Chrome is not entirely clear to me. Except that you use your hard drive, CPU and RAM even more, not much happens.
At autostart I deactivated everything except vanguard (the anticheat program from valorant) how can I check whether I have an ssd or hdd?
OK, that's a start. Then the auto start should be pretty tidy.
The best way to do this is to download and start the Crystal Disk info program. All information about your installed hard drives or SSDs is displayed and also which model it is.
OK thanks
If you say it's new, it should actually have an SSD in it. However, the start should not take 15 minutes for both. In the case of an HDD, this could be defective.
Otherwise, maleware or a virus could be the cause. Or programs preinstalled by the manufacturer. A Windows clean install would be advisable for both.
