I'm playing Sims 4 on my older laptop, but have clicked a bit too often and now the laptop has been hanging for about 10 minutes, nothing works anymore. What should I do?

As? I can't switch off and then turn it on again, because then there's the possibility that important data will be deleted. (Do not know why, my dad just told me so and I can't ask him jz because he's already asleep)

Have played forever sims 3 piece wanted to go to bed and then he just has not stopped saving. But also did not want to lose everything hard-earned is clear. What should be deleted? Everything that is stored remains. The Sims 4 save from the last save point may be lost.
Well computer crash from time to time and that cope with the already. In sims, you're probably back. Except the thing is overheating or something then there's hardware damage. But then it does not matter anyway
And how do you restart?
How do you do a reboot? Just off and on again?
