Since I want to rebuild my old laptop to sell it I needed a Win7 key to download the ISO files for Win7.
Now I bought the day before yesterday such a Key fresh on eBay, but if I enter the key at Microsoft I get only this message:
error
The entered product key obviously belongs to software preinstalled by the device manufacturer. For software recovery options, contact the device manufacturer.
How should I approach the ISO files now? (Have no CD at home, wanted to make a bootable USB stick)
Then simply download Windows via the HeiDoc Downloader. You can then activate it without problems with the key and the correct version.
Problem only the laptop is flat because of this Bootable USB ^^
As far as I know, a Win7 OEM key is not supported for a Win7 ISO download from the Microsoft side.
You can download the Win7 ISO file with SP1 from here:
Win7 Home with SP1: https://winfuture.de/...,2662.html,
Win7 Pro with SP1: https://winfuture.de/...,3291.html
Maybe the sale is easier, if you also perform the (free) upgrade to Win10 after the Win7 installation.

You can also use the ISO for a bootable stick from the downloader.
