Have a video (after effects), but somehow can't properly override my phone. It comes only a gray picture with an exclamation point. But can I also upload the video directly to Instagram on my laptop?

Export the video as H264 out of AfterEffects. This is a common format for social media. Your cellphone should not have any problems with it. Instagram resolution is 1080 x 1080 pixels perfect.
