On a friend's laptop, the screen of a game (Genshin Impact, if that helps anyone), and this game only, is cut off at the edge so that it's roughly a square. This is a problem because it prevents content from being displayed on the pages, making it impossible to play. It was only added after opening the game several times and we don't know how. Only after a short film section, which we can't get through because a selection field is cut off at the edge, does the game have a setting area in which you can set the screen scaling.
Does anyone have any idea what could be done there?
Wrong resolution is probably set
Unfortunately, we can't get to the settings menu in the game, and the normal laptop settings have a normal resolution of 1920p × 1080p
Either try to operate with the controller and keyboard or look for an options.txt or something similar through the installation path.
We will try, thank you.
Somewhere in the game or in the game launcher you can definitely change the graphics setting… You have to set a 16: 9 resolution such as 1280x720 or 1920x1080 otherwise there are the black controversies
Incorrect image scaling. Look in the settings. There should be 1920x1060 or x1080.
We can't get to them
