And last longer than a computer
No. This is not an argument to choose one or the other, because after 5 years both are obsolete anyway, although they could last longer.
My notebook from 2000 from Aldi (Medion) lasted 10 years. It has been my record so far. I had to replace all others after 3 or 5 years.
Pick out what suits you better and what is good.
After a few years you want something more up to date anyway.
How do you define "better"?
A laptop is space-saving and mobile, but in most other things a desktop PC has more advantages. If you do not place much value on one of these two points, a desktop PC is better.
This is going to be a shock, but laptops are computers.
General advantages of tower PCs over notebooks are:
More performance for the money
More space for cooling and accordingly quieter operation
Can be serviced and upgraded more easily.
Notebooks, however, are:
Can be used mobile
energy saving
I prefer a stand PC.
You get more performance for the same money and it can be upgraded with little effort.
If you like or need mobility, a notebook is the first choice. If not, the PC.
Which is better depends on the use. For gaming or prof. Video editing clearly PC. Gaming notebooks are very expensive. Notebooks are sufficient for surfing, office supplies or watching videos and are more energy-efficient.
It is difficult to say what will last longer. It depends on which hardware is available when you buy it. But in general, the PC is "more durable" or future-proof, because as the previous speakers said, the PC can be improved in all performance components. With a notebook, you can't just swap the graphics card or processor.
As I said, it depends on the purpose.
But which brand of notebooks would you recommend to me?
It depends on what you want to do exactly. What games? The newest? Best graphics or medium graphics. Fortnite? Minecraft? Or brand new?
Wants to surf the internet and play games and watch videos
What games?
Play on the Internet or on a PC
But what kind of PC games? Surname?
Fifa
So FIFA and sports games? Any other new games? Or just FIFA and browser games? Your budget?
Keep your IdeaPad from Mediamarkt. That's enough for FIFA
