I don't mean that it opens at the beginning, but whether when it is closed it consumes RAM because where I had it and it was closed I had the feeling that my laptop has become slower but I'm not sure (laptop has 8 GB RAM)
If Steam is no longer running - but has been closed properly as a program, it does not use any RAM.
But 8 rams aren't that much. Maybe you should reset your laptop or uninstall programs and delete outdated files.
