I'm looking for a KVM switch for my home office. I share it with my wife. Here is what should be operated:

Monitor C49RG94SSR
Notebooks: Both Lenovo (either with Displayport or HDMI)

Sound

USB (at least 5 times)

We work in shift changes (morning, afternoon). We also don't have space for a second screen or workstation.

According to the data sheet, the monitor has both HDMI and DisplayPort. Most monitors automatically switch on the signal they get. So if both notebooks are connected, but only one delivers what, then that is likely to be displayed. Only if both are running at the same time does the source have to be selected in the menu of the monitor.

In my answer I had linked a USB switch that I use myself. It only has 4 ports, but you can connect another 4-port hub, it works fine for me.

Unfortunately, the switch has no sound (jack). But it may be an alternative to a probably more expensive KVM switch if you use a USB headset.
