Yesterday I ordered a laptop, this has a 256GB SSD installed. For my purposes, the memory should be sufficient, but I wonder how easy / difficult it is to possibly upgrade the storage space?

Is it easy to buy and install "any" 500GB SSD hard drive?

Would replacement be reasonable for me, or would you need a specialist for such a thing?

Replacing a M.2 SSD is simple. There must be a cover (usually on the bottom) to be removed, a screw on the SSD be solved, take out the old and put in the new. Tighten the screw again and cover it. You can do that as soon as you have a screwdriver.

The video should explain the process.

In theory, you can just take any, it must only be a M.2, but you should read the speed of the Eighth 500 MB / s and are already OK.

If you do not have 2 left hands, that's not a problem, but you should check the internet where the SSD is. Otherwise you screw around possibly in vain.

Well you can install a larger NVMe SSD, but the battery is firmly installed. Swapping the SSD is pretty easy and if you do not trust yourself to go to the specialized electronics shop of your confidence and let it cost around 30 euro (which may vary in my area), the cheapest SSD (NVMe) you can get found with 1 terabyte costs 120 euro on Amazon
