Lenovo laptop very slow - what to do?

My laptop is about three years old. In fact, I rarely use it. At most once or twice a month.

Unfortunately, the laptop is extremely slow. It takes forever for Google Chrome to open, for example. When I'm on the Internet, it sometimes takes several minutes for a page to load. My Wi-Fi works fine on all other devices. What could it be?

In addition, the system of the laptop is really slow. If I go to the Windows sign at the bottom left, it takes forever to open.

Anyone have any idea what's behind it and how I can fix it?

Check the following things in the task manager:

how much memory is occupied
CPU usage
sort the processes by CPU load. Which are TOP 3?

ba

1. Deactivate autostart programs

2. Unscrew, remove dust (especially from the fan) and make again.

Please be careful because you dare to touch sensitive electronics. First touch a heater and do not throw in any magnets ^^

That helped me and my buddy a lot

Please check if there's enough space on your hard drives. It really affects performance

Je

59% of the RAM is 4.6 / 7.8 GB
CPU fluctuates between 6-11%
Windows Modules is by far the installer worker and then Google Chrome and then task manager, but alternates with Windows Explorer: -D

Of 886 GB are about 810 GB free: -D

That's very good, so it's not because of it
