Windows new - no drivers - no USB & DVD?

I installed Lenovo ideapad 110 Windows 7 (previously Win10) on my laptop, it apparently does not recognize any drivers, USB & network card are not recognized. There's no CD drive. On the Lenovo side, the ideapad 110 only has drivers for Win10. Can you possibly "copy" the drivers from the Windows.old folder? In theory, I only need the one for the network card so that the LAN connection is recognized.

It is normal that win 7 does not recognize it automatically

if your laptop is for win 10 then you should also leave win 10 on it

What I should or shouldn't be my decision. Now I did that because Win10 is too slow on the laptop.

Ma

With W7 you have to find the right driver yourself on the manufacturer's website. The automatic driver search has only been optimized since W10 (although not always optimal).

However, you should also consider that there will be no support for W7 from January 2020, i.e. H. Also no security updates etc. And this makes the system a security risk.

Ma

I doubt that's because of W10 …

I can search, but how do I install it if no USB is recognized, no CD drive is installed and no LAN connection is recognized. Can I possibly "copy" the drivers from Windows.old?

El

Of course, that's because of the laptop. But Win7 is just faster on the laptop.

Na

I recommend downloading and installing at least the LAN driver, which can also be included on the chipset driver, from a friend on the manufacturer's side. Win 10 drivers do not have to be compatible with Win 7 drivers.

I have a second laptop here that I'm writing about. The question is, how should I install it without USB & LAN being recognized and no drive present?

Ma

To be honest, I can't imagine that no USB will be recognized. Possibly. If the USB 3.0 is not supported, 2.0 should run without problems. Even back then, it had Windows XP. Ultimately, you will probably need a second computer in this case, possibly with a second HDD, to which you then download the drivers and which you can then reinstall in the other computer.

There's a possibility that driver INF is still available in Windows.old \ Windows \ INF, but it may be that they are then not compatible with W7, since it is probably a W10 driver.

Ma

With W8 I could understand that, because 8 needs significantly more resources. But 10 hardly needs more resources than 7, sometimes even less. In the 32-bit version, it even runs smoothly on a 1-core processor and 2 GB of RAM (self-tested).
