I / O process terminated due to thread end / application request during printing - what to do?

I would like to print something. I've already switched the printer off twice and the laptop as well. If I want to print a PDF, nothing happens. No document ends up in the printer queue either! If I then go to the printer settings and want to print a test page, I get this message:

The process could not be completed (error 0x000003e3)

The I / O process was aborted due to a thread alien or an application request.

What can I do? I removed the printer several times and added it again. It is not directly connected to the laptop, but via the WLAN network. I'm really desperate…
