Why are left-placed touchpads useful for notebooks?

I'm currently switching to one of these and am used to central touchpads… This is a disaster!

Gu

This is intended for those who switch from a PC to a notebook because the mouse is on the left

Sk

Yes and I now hit the right button constantly, although I want the left -.

Va

The mouse is probably right-handed…

va

You already know that the mouse can be placed on the left or right? 😂

Gu

Ahem, nobody saw that now

Gu

Muscle memory, at some point you got used to it

Dr

Since the mouse is there on the left

Usually it's the other way round. Say the mouse is to the right of the keyboard and is moved with the right hand accordingly. Even most lefties will probably handle it that way.

I myself am left-handed and the mouse or TrackPad is always to the left of the keyboard. One of the reasons why I always spent half an eternity in the settings at games until it finally fit.

Gu

Yeah… Maybe I switched pages

Far left or just a little further left?

I only know that the touchpad is exactly in the center of laptops with a keyboard without a NUM block.

At least I find it more pleasant that the touchpad is shifted a bit to the left, still quite centered, so to speak, if you imagine it without a NUM block.

If the touchpad were really in the middle of the laptop, I couldn't just control it with my thumb while I was typing…
