Good evening, umzwar I have a 2 year old laptop for a long time was pretty good, in the beginning was on the battery signs a yellow sign with battery broken or something like that. But I could still recharge it.
Now nothing works anymore, whether charging or nothing… Many thought. The socket would be broken? (See image)
I sent it in a company that said they had replaced the jack and it would cost nothing because he did not work that I found very funny I have you loaded jack removed and did not really look new. What do you all mean? Change? Would I have to solder it off? Or can I just stick it? Since there are cables Or is it another cause?
Look at the charging socket and put it only profisorisch to its slot. If there's no light on your book, then the board will probably be broken. But take the first time the battery from the device, you can now test whether the device can turn on.
If you like to order the part, do it on eBay, you'll get it under 10 euro.
I keep my fingers crossed that it works.
If it has already been exchanged and you have been told that the laptop is not working. Why replace the socket again or replace it at all?
Because the jack does not really look new
Can I reach you privately?
Why should a new jack look different, like the one shown? Or what makes you assume that this was not exchanged? Vlt have you tried a new, but because it did not work, the old reinstalled?
Connect the socket to the power supply and check if the voltage reaches the small plug. If so, the socket is fine. Jacks are usually broken when soldered to the board because the solder joints break. This is less the case here. If a laptop is no longer charging, it is 99% on the motherboard or battery, provided that the power adapter is in order.
As I understand your text, they have not replaced the socket. Because your device is not working. Ergo is broken. If your laptop is not working, what's in it for you to get a new socket?
So you put the old socket back in and gave you your device back. Check your device for inspection, see what's broken and fix it if it does. Provided the repair is worthwhile.
The jack is obviously not.
No one can tell you what your laptop is missing here. Because nobody has him in front of him. One can only guess.
