I have some old games that I would like to install on my laptop but this one does not have a cd drive and some of the cds are broken too but i have the activation codes of the games in the packs, is there the possibility to donwload the game legally and to activate, because I own the games yes. Deal with Lord of the Rings Battle for Mid-Earth 2 and the expansion of the Witch King.
If the CDs are still working you could install them using a USB CD drive, the CDs are broken then you can't do anything except check online if you find the game to download.
No drive means buy a drive. There are external drives with USB port for around 20 euro to buy. https://amzn.to/...to/2jINCIw
Just because you bought a boxed game does not mean that you can pull a copy from the net. This remains a criminally relevant fact, as these downloads could not work without spoofing the copy protection.
And titles such as Battle for Middle-earth 2 were never brought online for licensing reasons. The purchase is only possible on a data carrier.
I did not want to download a copy, it can be that such an official site is now offered, but that's not the case.
Unfortunately, I have to disappoint the hope. Even with titles that are available online: There's no developer / publisher where "Buy X, get Y" would be possible. The new purchase of digitally available software is always required, even if a version with disk has already been purchased.
