I'm currently looking for a device for my studies. It should meet a few conditions. I'm looking for a 2 in 1 laptop / tablet, where you can remove the keyboard and write on the tablet with an associated pen. The keyboard should be high quality and stable enough to replace a "real" laptop, because I don't want to buy a separate PC or laptop. That's why I don't consider an iPad with a keyboard and pen.
My technical requirements are not really high, these are limited to writing homework without problems, taking notes and summaries, so there should be enough memory or an external storage option, and things like Netflix etc.
I already have two devices in view, but both are very expensive. If you have had any experience with either of them or if you can recommend another one that meets my requirements, I would be grateful for answers.
We recommend our customers Microsoft Surface Pro 7. It is also the latest version.
Sure, it's a little expensive. But will be enough. I still own the Windows Surface Pro 2 and still use it for my work / school.
The keyboard on an iPad is stable, I don't know what you have
I'm not talking about the keyboard, but about the fact that the iPad is not comparable to a laptop. While the Ipad is a tablet, the Surface products are a laptop, based on what is in the device.
An iPad can be compared to a laptop. The performance is even better.
Still, I'm missing some things, but thanks
If you can do without the 2in1, take a look at the Lenovo IdeaPad C340

If 8GB RAM is not enough
Thank you very much, I'll take a look at it
My son (studying computer science) also recommended a Lenovo to me and I love it.
I'll get another one for the office.
The same?
Don't ask me that! 😁
I sent my child to study for these detailed questions. 😜
Haha okay, thanks anyway
Clearly the Surface Book. It is a little harder, but with the Surface Pro I have found that typing is not always pleasant. The Surface Pro keyboard can be a bit wobbly.
If you don't value x86 applications, you can also use an iPad or ARM device or Chromebook for the longer battery life (note, not all Chromebooks are ARM-based).
