I have a laptop with a slightly poorer performance, which operating system would be more fluid and would the laptop draw less power? Windows 10 or Kali Linux?
But you know that "Kali Linux" is not the same as "Linux", right?
If performance is important to you, then Manjaro with XFCE, Xubuntu or Lubuntu.
What kind of hardware is built in there and what should the part do:-)
Since Linux is free, you can just install it. If you don't like it, you can reinstall Windows again, as your license is saved depending on your hardware and in an extra chip for it. You can then reinstall Windows without having to pay again.
I just want to know what pulls more power
Linux uses fewer resources
OK
With Windows 10 you definitely need an SSD, otherwise it will be very slow.
Linux is less of a problem in this regard because it does not read / write to the hard drive all the time. In Linux you don't have an antivirus program working in the background either…
With an SSD, Win10 also runs acceptable on slower PCs.
With an SSD, you as the end user hardly notice any difference between Linux and Windows.
