Macbook Pro - 128 GB or 256 GB?

For my upcoming studies, I intend to buy a Macbook Pro. Now I'm staggering between the model with 128 GB or with 256 GB of storage space, because the price difference between the two models is already 'a whole corner, so worth considering. Nonetheless, the laptop should work for at least three to four years, and that too, without "blunder," if you understand.

I will mainly use the Macbook for the university and for normal surfing in the net, in addition I write a bit hobbymäßig in my free time.

Would you say that would be enough for 128 GB or would you recommend more storage space?

Mi

To be honest, 128GB is a bad joke.

But, since your requirements are practically zero, it can be enough for you. You can't collect larger files like photos or videos and install larger programs.

On the computer then "only office" run or special programs (image editing, graphics programs, CAD, etc.)?

Does it really have to be a Macbook Pro? Take a NEN small Windows laptop, like this HP

Is 1000 euro cheaper than the cheapest Macbook Pro with 256GB and also has ne much stronger CPU

Ac

I currently have a laptop from HP, but not as expensive as the one you recommended.

The only problem is that I also have other Apple devices and these just poorly (or not at all) with Windows or similar.

hi

I have a four year old with 128. The MBP is still great and will be productive for several more years.

But since the first day the SSD is almost always so full that Photoshop does not even start without an external hard disk and I had to change the location of the iTunes backups from the iPhone to the external disk.

Since I saved at the wrong end. I should have taken the 512s.

250 euro extra for a SSD, which costs 25 euro more if you buy them as an end user. Madness.
But of course, since all components are soldered, you can't upgrade anything and have to pay the prices or buy a real… Another laptop.
128GB is little, of which not everything is usable.
On my desktop computer, I have currently occupied 820GB, and I have practically just put on new.
I think 128GB is too little for a computer, but more than enough for a smartphone / tablet.
I mean… You could use a USB-C stick, they are not that expensive. A normal USB stick is without adapter but of course not an option.

Gu

For a whopping 500 euro surcharge.

Mi

So that's not a problem if you do not act very stupid.

Also: What does an iPhone or something ne ne connection to the PC needs?

Ac

Since I seem to make very stupid.

Maybe less cumbersome to transfer music, videos, pictures and other files?

Ri

Would one of these say for 500 euro:

Also note that there's no OS pre-installed in your offer (I will not let FreeDOS count)

Ri

Can you just transfer on iTunes for Windows, as well as over Mac
