Which laptop to buy MacBook?

I want to sell my MacBook and buy a new laptop. I use my laptop to surf, write. For that I also used it to program and animate and I think I'll use it again in some time to program or for other projects. But most of all, I would like to play first-person shooters and the like with my laptop, which unfortunately is not possible with my MacBook, because it is not designed for that at all.

The laptop would have to take care for a long time, as well as my MacBook.

What can you recommend to me?

Ma

If it has to be Windows, buy a laptop from DELL or Lenovo, formerly IBM. Only these are known to me for their longevity and I have met many in the course of over thirty years in dealing with hardware.

A high-quality laptop from DELL is priced approximately like a current MacBook, sometimes even more, with Macs over z. B. Steam egoshootertauglich are, depending on what you have claims.

So

Depends on. For gaming it should be Windows, here I can recommend Lenovo. These Thinkpads withstand virtually everything, and I know of almost no case of planned obsolescence. They also have some performance, because they are built for professionals. The battery power also fits, which should eventually be used outside.

Maybe a bit clunky but worth it.

Thank you for your answer. I also had a Lenovo laptop in my head, a Thinkpad. I'm just wondering which series is suitable for me. No on my Mac, the fan jumps on the Internet even with simple strategy games although I have a 13 "" i5 8GB memory 2015.

De

Yes, I had that in my head. I'm just wondering which series / model I should buy.

So

You have to know that. How much power do your games need and how much are you willing to spend?

De

I have no specific game in mind but I would like to play for example. Sowas like Battlefield or Fallout and current games. And I do not know exactly how much I want to spend depends on the offer, but for the time being under 1.5k.

ve

If you want something powerful, what you need, if you want to play FPS, you have to get a gaming laptop.

With a! Normal! Lenovo, Acer, etc. Do not you get very far?

But the best way to get it is to get a gaming PC because you get something stronger for the same money.

Ps: laptop for gaming is garbage, unless you take at least 1200 euro in the hand.

De

Is a ThinkPad for 1,5k not enough to play from time to time?

ve

As I said, if you take enough money into the hand that would be the kicked-out money because you with a calculator for the same money get something more powerful

De

I wonder what advantages a normal laptop has over a gaming laptop if it is generally more powerful, except maybe the normal laptops are thinner because fewer fans, etc.

De

I need my laptop but 75% or more not to gamble, so a calculator is out of the question for me.

ve

But also save money if you would get a calculator

De

That makes no sense to me, because I need my laptop often on the go, otherwise I would have brought me a calculator from the beginning.

ve

I already thought so, but I was unsure if you are not only using it at home.

De

Achso, kk👍

Ma

But the fan is there.

De

Yes, sure. But that should not be anpsringen in a simply online flash game already. And with simple Steam games, it turns and my laptop gets hot.

Ma

This will be a laptop from DELL or Lenovo too.

Gaming laptops are significantly thicker, so their hardware in the case can be cooled better, which is at the expense of mobility.
