I created a powerpoint on a Windows PC in school because we need to hold a powerpoint presentation. I did not manage to finish this powerpoint, so I saved it on a stick. Now comes my problem, I have no windows pc or laptop at home, just a macbook. And my question would be whether I can continue to work on this powerpoint, which was created on a Windows device, on a MacBook?

You just need the program on the Mac. That should be eig.

Bl

Because Powerpoint has the filename .pptx or something and that recognizes the program

Bl

Okay, but can you even install these windows programs on the mac?

As

First, see if your MacBook program folder contains "Keynote". That would be the easiest way to continue editing the PowerPoint presentation on your Mac. Keynote would be the right program for the Mac.

If you do not have it, download the free Apache OpenOffice package for Mac. There's also a good program in the package with which you can easily continue working.

Yes, I had that on my Mac from the beginning. But is that still possible because Keynote is a bit different than PowerPoint from Windows?

As

I do not have Keynote on this Mac I'm using right now, but OpenOffice for Mac. Then I select "Presentation" and can then easily create a presentation. I think with Keynote it should not be a problem either.

I hope the USB stick is formatted so that your Mac recognizes it. If that is the case, then you really have no problems, otherwise you would first have to copy all folders and files from the stick to the Mac and then format the USB stick mac-compliant.

Powerpoint (and the entire MS Office) is also available for the Mac. It's just not cheap. I would first try to open and edit your .pptx with Keynote or the free Libre Office (libreoffice.org). If that works, make sure you save it as .pptx instead of as Keynote or LibreOffice document, as this could mean that your PC will not start at school.

I'm fine, give it a try

No one can't use Windows as a readable install file .exe and Apple uses .dmg… But you can also install it with programs

Bl

You can also use Powerpoint Online
