Wow, so you have about as many laptops as I have FRITZ! Boxing. ^^

Dr

A FRITZ is enough for me! Box off. There are several notebooks with different configurations - and for different purposes. I especially appreciate the T420s because they are the last ones with an IBM keyboard. In addition, robust and still have enough power to work with it.

In the ThinkPads, the bios was replaced by a mod bios. This resulted in The whitelist removed. Ergo can also use other W-LAN modules. MacOS is currently running on two of them in dual boot with Arch Linux or Debian. Everyone else is using a mix of Arch, ParrotOS and Windows 7 and / or 10.

Only the Amilo is too weak to do anything great with it. This was delivered with Windows Vista, but now Windows XP runs on it. I find it difficult to part with hardware and to date have always somehow found a use for everything. Too good to throw away.

Any NEN HP Omen with a GTX 1050ti and an I7 8750k.

Is very good for midrange gaming and office, if you want to know the exact name I can't help you. The laptop model names are partly more cryptic than Russian atomic codes.

An almost 9 year old Samsung RV 520.

i5 2410M

8 GB RAM (upgraded)

1TB Samsung EVO 860 SSD

15.6 inch HD display

Still works great so will still be used until it blesses the temporal.

I'm using a primebook c13, with manjaro linux.

With trash tier processor, but at least 8gb ram.

But of course I also have a desktop.

Dell XPS 9560 (1650 euro in 2016 or 2017)

i7-6700HQ
32 GB Ram (Original 16)
GTX 1050 Ti
95 mAh battery
1 TB M.2 SSD (original 500 GB)
Full HD screen 15 inches.
DW1560 Wlan card (the original is a killer inside)

The part is heavily modded.
I exchanged thermal paste and stuck thermal pads on the hot spots inside.
Then I have an undervolt. So it needs less electricity, but it runs equally well.

The laptop now lasts 12-14 hours with normal use!

I installed MacOS with OpenCore operating system on it.

Runs better than Windows. And with the large trackpad from the XPS, simply awesome!

And because of the high screen-to-body ratio, the laptop is as big as 13 inch laptops but has a 15 inch display!
