Laptop in hand luggage - is the weight of the laptop deducted?

I'm flying with Lufthansa from Munich tomorrow, now I have my laptop in my hand luggage. Hand baggage may be max. Weigh 8kg. Now I wonder if the weight is being subtracted from my laptop because it is lying in a tub when I scan it. Can I then theoretically pack up to 8 kg even though the laptop still comes in?

I hope it is formulated to be somewhat understandable 😂

Does anyone have experience?

We do not weigh when scanning in the security check. Weighing is done at check in. So laptop including bag

This is handled generously. If the hand luggage is significantly heavier, someone asks if there's electronics in it. If you call a laptop, 2 kg are calculated and you can take it with you. Then you can't call a big digicam, electric toothbrush, power bank, tablet, mobile speaker, of course all with lithium batteries that are not allowed in the loading space. And then you can get into the cabin with 12 kg, an additional small handbag is always allowed. Only the luggage should not be too big.

It is no longer weighed because you put your luggage on the machine yourself, if you check it in, check it in online and no longer meet anyone until you board. There's nobody left to weigh.

Hand luggage is so called because it is not checked in but taken into the cabin. And what does LH say: "That's why we check your hand luggage at the departure airports for the permitted dimensions, quantity and weight."

I don't see now what is so complicated about the LH regulations.

A piece of hand luggage in the Eco is a piece of hand luggage and 8 kg is and remains 8 kg. How they come about - whether through a box of lead or champagne bottles, doesn't matter.

And as LH says: "That's why we check your hand luggage at the departure airports for the permitted dimensions, quantity and weight."
