How do I get the game to appear again?

For a long time I have had the problem on my laptop that, for example, I start a game on Steam and only the sound is played and I e.g. The menu pointer of the game and can turn my character without seeing anything. Either only the desktop can be seen or a black screen. I've already tried a few things:

Make the optimization of the games at Geforce Experience

Latest Windows update

Minimizing and maximizing the window

Reset your own files

None of this worked. I hope somebody can help me.

It's a strange problem because e.g. Something like Forza Horizon kind of works

Try Alt + Enter when the game is open. Or. Alt + Enter and then open the game. Via Alt + Enter you get into Big Picture mode (only in Steam) and that should help with such a problem. With the same key combination you close the mode again.

With alt and enter it comes into window mode but the black screen is then just in window mode. When I open a game with Big Picture it is a complete whitescreen. Funny because something like Forza Horizon runs without any problems

Try library> right click on game with black screen> properties> general> start options> enter the following: -autoconfig

Or enter the appropriate resolution in the same field. For e.g. 1920x1080 = -w 1920 -h 1080

And then start again

Unfortunately both didn't help but thank you anyway

The last two tips I still have: Steam> Settings> Change beta participation. Or follow the steam path there right click on the exe> properties> compatibility> switch off compatibility mode (if active). If that doesn't help, I'm unfortunately overwhelmed.
