Notebook release date?

I bought the MSI Prestige 15 A10SC, which is actually relatively new (2019 or 2020). Now it says here that the time was last synchronized on 08/01/2015. How can that be?

ab

Because that was the release of w10

br

Because the INTEL technology is from 2015 … Didn't you realize that?
Old CPU in a new look.

The time refers to the primordial slime of the BIOS / UEFI, the first date / time is stored there.

Ma

So now I've paid 1349 euro for outdated technology?

Ab

This is because of how computers count the time. Counting from a point X in the past just the seconds. And for Windows 10 that is probably August 1st, 2015. So it means nothing else than that you have never synchronized the time.

br

Yup. But that's no problem. It's just that the technology is from 2015, it has always been modified. The original CPU is the Intel 6xxx / 7xxx, which has been messed around with more and more to this day. You can also see the old 14nm technology.

Nevertheless, the CPU is very powerful.

So don't worry, old things don't have to be bad.

Ab

What are you writing? That would be exactly the same news for a brand new AMD…
