I don't know exactly how to describe it, but for the past few days on my laptop, what is shown on the screen is almost overwritten. When I scroll down or switch tabs on the browser, etc., there's a transition error, a kind of tail, or the previous and new image try to exist at the same time, the text is pulled down in a cascading manner, etc. (The screen is physically intact, so no damage in that respect.) I can't describe it really well. It doesn't always happen, just often.
I assume that there's a fault in the graphics card at work. The only question is whether it is something I can fix myself, or whether it simply indicates that the graphics card is at the end of its life and needs to be replaced (in which case I will just have to get a new laptop because this is already quite old, and a new card doesn't really pay off).
How can I check something?
Go for repairs or try a software update. 😊
Going to repairs doesn't really pay off, because the laptop you're talking about is rather older. And software update is not an option - I'm already using the latest update.
Sorry I didn't know that you already have the new update?
No problem. After all, that's the first thought that comes to mind in such a case.
