How can I communicate with the graphics driver?

That's why I asked Geforce and the Yoyo Games forum page (the game engine I use). And there wasn't much on both that could have helped me!

I have the problem that I developed a game, but it is not recognized as a game by the graphics driver (in my case Geforce) and continues to run with the underpowered CPU graphics chip, even though a powerful graphics card is installed.

This problem is especially true for laptops that do their standard operation with the Intel graphics unit to save energy, but then switch to the graphics card in power-consuming applications such as computer games!

Some have also complained to Steam in the reviews about the poor performance of my game and after asking more details it also turns out that they have the same problem as me on my second computer, which is a laptop and on which I also use my application have tested. On normal tower computers, the application seems to run fine as a rule, but as soon as this switch mechanism exists between the graphics chip and the graphics card, there seem to be problems.

What should I do so that the graphics driver knows that in my application it should switch to the high-performance components of the computer without having to specify this manually each time. Because I can't expect anyone to do this and this should actually also run automatically as it does with any other game.

I programmed the game in GMS2 with the programming language based on C #: "GML" (For background information only)

What does that have to do with the actual question?
