My Intel graphics card is being charged with the laptop even though I have a GTX card?

Often when I play games, my Intel Graphics Card is loaded to around 40-50% and my Nvidia card to around 20%. But I would prefer if the Nvidia card really did everything. I honestly have no problem with it now, but is that normal? I don't get a laptop with a separate graphics card just so that it is hardly used.

I don't know where you get that with the load, but in any case either the integrated graphics chip or the dedicated graphics card is used and not both at the same time.

In normal operation, the integrated graphics chip (Intel) is used and the dedicated graphics card (NVIDIA) is only used when the performance is required, for example when playing games. The whole thing is a power-saving technology so that laptops with dedicated graphics cards do not necessarily have an astronomical power consumption and thus a low battery life.

Normally this is all done automatically, but it can still happen that the wrong graphics unit is used. If this is the case, then open the NVIDIA Control Panel and navigate to "Manage 3D Settings" and then to "Program Settings". Your installed programs will then be displayed there, to which you can assign the desired graphics unit.
