USB keyboard is not recognized on the laptop, what to do?

I want to connect a keyboard to my laptop, but this is not recognized. On my keyboard only the lighting of the keys works, that's it, but when I connect the keyboard to my tower PC, it works completely. The laptop keyboard itself works too. I've already done everything, reinstalled drivers and stuff. One an idea.

The keyboard is displayed in Device Manager?

br

Do the other USB devices work?

Have you ever done an active HUB in between?

Al

PS / 2 keyboard and about 4 HID keyboard drivers are displayed

Ac

Maybe USB driver or port on the laptop broken? Maybe check out the System Manager if the keyboard is displayed. USB ports on the laptop can be broken very quickly. Has happened with mine already. Maybe take another USB port.

Al

Yes works, the keyboard and mouse are running on a switch mouse goes and keyboard I have connected directly to the laptop works anyway it does not work.

Just connect the keyboard to the HUB, nothing else.

Go to the top of the screen with the magnifying glass ("Search for changed hardware").

Al

The problem is that it does not even work if I connect it directly to the laptop. It works only if it connects my tower PC

br

Yes, I understood that, so yes the keyboard sometimes behind an active USB switch (alone).

My guess is that the voltage is not enough from the notebook.

br

Have you ever tried another external keyboard?

Al

Yes I have the same problem and yes the switch as the USB-C hub get their own power

br

You have USB C port on the laptop?

br

And only USB C? Not a normal USB 2.0 / 3.0?

Al

There's a hub with two hdmi, audio and several usb ports, the keyboard has a USB Type A

br

It's a pity, I mean that you have no normal USB HUB.
