I've been thinking about creating a Youtube video lately.
I have an idea where different videos from other YouTubers (not compulsory, famous) occur. The videos are partially directly displayed or just seen as it runs on my laptop.
Now I have the question if that's okay. Whether I have to write to each individual YouTubers. I've written to the letter, already planned plus of course the link to the other channel.
Only I have the fear that it is not legal. Or I get blocked by YT?
Especially since I certainly will not reach every YouTuber.
{I also see reaction videos that synonymous very much video material from other YT, their videos are synonymous not locked (I do not want to make a reaction video)
If it worked reasonably I would want to monetize it
Do you have some tips for me?
For this you need the permission of ANY foreign video.
Legally, you have to get permission from any creator / rightholder whose video you want to use.
An exception is if you deal with the content in the context of the citation right.
But some creators also tolerate it if you simply use their content without asking. But with a permit you are on the safe side.
Well there are §24 German Clock Act (free use):
(1) An independent work, created in free use of the work of another, may be published and exploited without the consent of the author of the work used.
I'm not so sure that this is true, here is theoretically also an independent work, which uses works of others (which was created in free use of the work of another).
