I gave up my notebook on eBay and got an offer via PayPal payment. Would something happen if I sell it via PayPal, could the buyer book the money back after the goods have been dispatched or something? I also wrote in detail that it is a private sale and is not a return or guarantee.
If you want to do yourself a favor, leave it.
offer the buyer collection or payment by bank transfer.
EBay Ads is NOT intended for shipping.
There you should hand over the goods personally and personally accept payment in cash.
The buyer could book the money back after the goods have been shipped
or so?
Right, or so:
May one ask why you want to offer PayPal as a private seller (!)?
Do you really prefer a Luxembourg payment service provider to the money in your checking account that no one there can take away?
Do you know that PayPal can withhold your money for up to 21 days?
Do you know that you can only send shipments to the address stored with PayPal?
You know that PayPal freezes or even books back your money if an unsatisfied buyer opens a buyer protection case within 180 days (!) Of the purchase?
And as a seller you also like to pay the fees?
Well then…
This is useful if you would like to be FRAUDED!
The combination "Ebay classifieds + Paypal" is a paradise for fraudsters!
In particular private sellers, who are so stupid and reckless to let themselves in for it, are being ripped off en masse.

You have to exclude warranty and not take-back (there's no such thing in private sales anyway) and guarantee (which the manufacturer grants and not you).

Depends on the imagination and criminal energy of the other side. There are enough of the latter on classified ads. The victims can be found here on Girlfriend every day. Mostly on the buyer side.
If I read about the return and the guarantee above, then you will fall for the usual fraud tricks like triangle fraud or device replacement.
The classic at PayPal with shipping goods is 'is not as described'. If you insist on PayPal as a seller because of the larger customer base, then better use eBay and not classified ads. There are not so many fraudsters around.
