My printer also has a scanner. I can print documents but scan nothing. Where is the problem? Have Win 10.
With my other notebook, the Win 7, the scanner has worked flawlessly.
You have to install the program for the scanner first. Printing is often synonymous with the standard driver of Windows, but then you need to scan the software that belongs to the printer.
Was at least always the case with me.
Incorrect or incompatible TWAIN driver.
Find the driver for the scanner that is compatible with Windows 10.
It worked before that. How does it stop suddenly?
With the same notebook? I thought on the Win 7 device it just worked…
But with such things are always the drivers blame, or maybe a full disk.
The hard disk is only 40% full. Have 1TB SSD. It worked yesterday and not today. I'm about to download drivers from brother printer and install. Maybe that brings something. Have a DCP-9022CDW laser printer.
Exactly, I would definitely install. First uninstall the old ones (if any).

Thank you. Have now installed the big software package from brother and restarted. It works now again.
Excellent!
I'm happy with that, too. My notebook from 2013 will not let me down. Have to write already with an external Lenovo ThinkPad keyboard, because four letters on the notebook no longer go and a repair is not worth it, it is far too expensive. Thus, total loss if you want to call mans.
Does not matter to me with my 8-year-old Samsung notebook, the keyboard works like the first day, but the left mouse button is broken. The older devices usually last longer. They will certainly run for a few more years.
Did my notebook just recently with a 1 TB SSD upgraded. Now I have enough storage space and he goes up in just 15 seconds. Gorgeous!
I'll do that on my soon too, when I upgrade to Windows 10.
My older notebook from 2012 will stay on Win 7. I'm not intimidated by any updates.
As long as there are no sensitive data on it that is not a problem, with online banking and Co you should already upgrade. My old PC will also stay on Win7.
Have a professional label printer from brother the QL-700. It just does not work with Windows 10. Do not know why. Goes only on Win 7. Did not solve the problem yet. As long as it is not clear that remains a notebook on Win 7. That's why I do not want to upgraten.
Strange. According to Brother, it should actually work with the right drivers…

Thanks, I'll give it a try soon.
Thanks for the link. Have now downloaded everything so it works. Now I can change my Win7 notebook to Win 10 in peace.
No problem!
Thank you so much. Sometimes I'm too dizzy and can't get things done, it can be so easy.
No problem. It works every time. I also often have problems with my printer, I could not solve it myself, maybe the solution is easier than expected.
Can you help me to switch from Win7 to Win10?
Yes of course.
Now tried to install Win 10, it has reversed the process after 1 hour. Win 10 can't be installed and I do not know why. Have Win 7 on it again.
Hmm. I would update all drivers before upgrading. So graphics card (if available), LAN / WLAN driver, etc. This is best in the Device Manager with a right-click on the devices. Also all Windows updates must be installed.
Sometimes it's because USB sticks or other devices are plugged in. Best during the process only have the power cord stuck.
I would uninstall any unnecessary programs before upgrading.
If it still does not work then only a complete reinstallation of Windows 10 remains
I see, but I can't do that. At the moment I leave Win 7 on the notebook.
Maybe this tool from Microsoft also helps: https://support.microsoft.com/...bleshooter
Is there still some time until February 2020 :)
Time will tell.
