I see no other way out than to ask a question here. The problem is that I would like to copy something that has the A2 format in the end. Present I have this document in 4 sheets à A4, which of course in my printer (Canon Pixma 5050) fit. It is important, therefore, that the pages fit together exactly.
Of course, I do the first logical option: the built-in copy function. The only problem is that the printer's software automatically adds borders. Click on the function "Print borderless" and look there, "This function is not compatible with plain paper".
Since the built-in Canon software seems to be 'n' Ar ***, I then go to my notebook to work with slightly better software. So I use the function "Scan". The result is a perfect scan of the document without any artificial edges, truncated pages or enlarged objects.
At this point, I should probably mention that the paper I want to copy, by a few millimeters smaller than normal A4 (white, although not why, but is so). Should not be a problem, because I have inserted the paper correctly. This problem should not exist with the lower two sheets and it would be easy to cut off the upper two. But, to my knowledge, this should not be the trigger of the next problem.
Because if I then try to print this flawless scan, I see already in the copy preview thing. For whatever reason, the document is slightly enlarged. Not only are not there several millimeters of the upper edge available, but the picture is even larger, which means that it fits less and less, the further to the right you can see.
What I'm trying to ask here is if there's a function on my printer to copy a sheet 1: 1 without interposing the software with unwanted, user-unfriendly "assistance" which, as far as I can judge, does not disable it to let.
Make the scan a PDF and print from Adobe Reader with customization or original size. So I get something like that often in the handle ;-)
