Scanner has stopped working since I moved, can you

My brother DCP-1610w printer / scanner / copier worked without problems for years. It is connected to my notebook and has had Windows 10 as its operating system for years. I never had to install a driver for the brother DCP.

Now I have moved and therefore I disconnected the cable between the printer and the notebook. It's just a USB cable. In the new apartment connected again as before, the print function works but the scanner refuses to work. Under "Settings / Devices / Printer is: brother DCP 1610 no driver available".

What can I do to make the scanner work again?

Have you tried an older driver?
