Which laptop for schoolwork, Minecraft, and Roblox?

We're currently considering buying a laptop for Sohnemann, as Corona will probably continue for a while and he will have to use our computer more often for homeschooling. But it is sometimes difficult because we also have to work on it. Hence the consideration.

He's now playing Roblox and Minecraft with a friend. In order to enable him to do this from time to time, the laptop should also be able to do this.

Basically I recommend a computer from my own experience. You can put this together and upgrade yourself. This becomes more difficult with laptops.

I put together my PC (CPU: Intel Core i5 and a GTX 1660 graphics card, …) for around 400 euro. All used parts from Ebay classifieds. The computer is very suitable for Minecraft and other things.

Of course it depends on your circumstances. If your situation (with space etc.) allows it, I recommend a computer. You wanted a laptop though.

My brother has a gaming laptop, but it is very expensive. If you buy such laptops new, they are usually 500 euro +. Even this laptop is barely sufficient for Minecraft. So it's hard to find a laptop that you can play well on.

Thank you, I'll take a look at it. PC unfortunately does not work. He should be able to work / play quietly in his room, but for various reasons he should also get out afterwards. Therefore, only a laptop is an option.
