NBA Live 2003?

I'm a big basketball fan and the reason for this is the PC game NBA Live 2003. So it has great personal value to me and I generally prefer games from the early 2000s.

Anyway, one day I brought my laptop to be repaired because of a virus - when I got it back I had Windows 10 installed (until then I had Windows 7), but to the best of my knowledge, the game doesn't run on Windows 10 … I have everything Imaginable done to get this game running again - from compability mode to setting up VM and buying ISO's… However, I'm generally not a computer geek, I've just tried to acquire knowledge in various forums and googled a lot, but probably. Have I overlooked little things or am doing something wrong… It would mean a lot to me if someone could help me.

The only thing I can think of right now is that you can downgrade to Windows 7. Then you have Windows 7 again and can install the game as normal.

Well, that's how it is: I reinstalled Windows 7 on the laptop mentioned and I got the game running, but it crashes again after a while - but that is most likely not due to the game, but, according to my assumption, to driver problems. Because no matter which game I install, it always goes well for a while and then crashes.

At some point I gave up and bought a new laptop - it had Windows 10 preinstalled, but I also installed Windows 7 using a virtual machine. However, the game does not even start now (so the installation of the game works fine, but when I try to start it then only an error message appears ("NBA Live 2003 no longer works")
