I have a little problem with my interface (Behringer U-Phoria UM2). The following: I have a microphone on the interface that requires 48V phantom power. Of course, these are therefore switched on. However, if I set the microphone loudly so that you can also hear something, a bad hum appears in the background. This hum disappears when the microphone is embraced.
I have already connected the interface to my laptop, which makes the hum a little louder.
A friend said it was a humming sound. Unfortunately I don't know how to solve it.
In addition, I have already exchanged the USB cable once to rule out a defect in the cable.
Thank you very much if someone comes forward and can help me!
Have you ever tried another microphone cable? Which mic do you use?
It would be better to replace the micro cable.
That's exactly what I've done with 2 other cables.
I have already used other micro cables. Unfortunately did not help. The micro is a cheap one, it's called the BM 800. But I've seen it on the internet too…
All that remains is to connect the microphone to another interface or another microphone to your interface.
