64GB RAM upgradable for workstation?

Unfortunately, laptops & Co have little plan, so this question. I need a software for my work and for this software to work I need min 64GB RAM tells me the manufacturer. Have browsed a bit on the Internet and seen that you can buy some laptops with 32GB for under 1000Euro and this can be upgraded accordingly. But I also read that these sometimes do not retrieve the 64GB in practice and thus it would not work. Otherwise, the workstation does not have to bring anything special. What should my plan be here?

Can forget about 1000 euro is not. Yes, you can change the RAM of notebooks if it is not glued. Lenovo has such models, but they have only two slots and bars with 32 GB, there are hardly any. And you write at least - buy a decent desktop PC, because 64BG get easy and cheap.

Desktop PC is inconvenient because I travel with the PC. So need a workstation. It is not easy to find something. I'm also ready to spend up to 2,500euro

If possible buy a desktop system.

Which software is it exactly? I suspect, which also needs a reasonable processor and / or graphics card?

Is battery life an issue, or is it only stationary / can always be charged during operation?

There are quite models that tolerate 64GB.

A PC is there MUCH more convenient to convert from 32GB to 64GB is not worth 64 GB at all for the 500 euro.

Mini PC?

Only the RAM costs 1000 euro because 32GB bars are hardly made as a notebook variant. Then the notebook has to support that. I do not know a notebook that supports 64Gb and if that will exceed the 3000 euro.
