couldn't you combine the two so that I have more storage space and performance?
both have 8 GB ram and win10 on it

Nope, at most you could convert the RAM and mass storage from the laptop to the desktop, and vice versa.
No, such a "parallel connection" ("synchronization" was something completely different!) Does not work. There are parallel computers, but they have a completely different task than accelerating games.
Find the slowing cause and eliminate it. What does "use up more and more space" mean? RAM or hard drive? Do you already have an SSD installed? Why do you think that the storage space affects the performance of the games?
