Which processor do you need for notebooks?

And I wanted to upgrade my notebook and buy a new processor, unfortunately I don't know which type of processor to buy

Wa

The processor is soldered, so you can't upgrade anything.

br

In 98% of all notebooks the CPU is soldered, you can't exchange it.

po

Not with older notebooks. Until year of construction ~ 2016 you still have very reasonable chances.

Tr

Most notebooks have a soldered processor. Otherwise just google for the socket of the current processor.

It would probably be more useful if you have a hdd to swap it for an SSD.

Wa

Retrofitting is usually no longer worthwhile for notebooks that are over 5 years old

Sc

Most of the time this doesn't work because the CPU is soldered on. Otherwise you have to check which socket is on it and which chipset it is and which BIOS version is on it. Which notebook is that exactly?

po

Yes, usually when the user is actually still satisfied with it (shape, size, weight), but the computer is simply too slow. Then, depending on the equipment, an SSD comes in, 8GB RAM, a faster processor, a higher resolution screen, and if there are signs of wear and tear, a new battery, new keyboard, new palm rest, new hinges… Depending on the situation:-)
